Superior Design

Time is important; nobody has enough, and nobody wants to waste it. Even many expensive commercial lie-down tanning beds can take as much as 30 minutes for every tanning session in order to get a tan. Because of the patented Peacock design and state of the art technology, tanning sessions are only 10 to 15 minutes, and using fewer bulbs! Turn on some music, switch on the lights, dance or tap your toes, and two or three songs later, you're done!

Less Space Needed

Space is important. Conventional lie-down, tanning beds need lots of floor space; more than a washer & dryer combined. How many salons or homes can dedicate that much space to just one unit? Better yet, who would want to? With the Peacock and it’s superior Fold Away design, you need less than two square feet of floor space (8 inches by 38 inches) when not in use. For commercial use, you can place up to four systems in about the same space that one lie-down bed would require.

Costs Less to Operate

Money is important; so the Peacock makes the most of it. The Peacock System gives a tan that’s equivalent to commercial systems with twice as many bulbs! The Peacock requires fewer bulbs that cost less to operate, less to replace, and last much longer than the 160 watt bulbs used in other systems.

We start with an automotive-quality, cold-rolled steel body with a lifetime warranty; no flimsy tin or plastic, this is a durable piece of equipment that you’ll be proud of for a lifetime of use. The steel structure is then finished with a powder-coated, oven-baked finish that resists scratches or marring. No problem with paint flaking, since there’s no paint involved; no faded coatings, since no coating is used. We then use a stainless-steel center column for easy cleanup and a sharp look.

Solid-State Electronics

What you can’t see matters too. With the exception of the bulbs themselves, everything is solid-state design. The Peacock is one of the most reliable tanning systems, with over 12 years of field-proven reliability, so if you want a tanning system that lasts a lifetime, you want a Peacock Tanning System.

Superior Functionality

It's totally hygienic by design! Many people lie down and sleep when using horizontal tanning systems, and most perspire, which means you a lying in a layer of sweat and tanning lotion that must be cleaned after each use. The Peacock is used while standing for only 10 to 15 minutes, so sweat and tanning lotion does not collect, and simply requires a quick wipe down after daily use. With lie-down beds, you need to use disinfecting, germicidal chemicals to keep it clean and hygienic, and that's after every session! With the Peacock you step in, you step out, and you're done. It's like taking an invigorating sunshower!

Aside from the quick after-use wipe-down, the only regular maintenance the Peacock requires is bulb replacement; although many commercial salons change out the bulbs after 700 hours of use, they are rated for 1000 hours! You can't beat the time-proven design of our 100 watt bulbs.

Do-It-Yourself Service.

Aside from the bulbs, the ballasts also sometimes need replacing. You’ll be glad to know that this is a very simple job; simply unplug the bad one, and plug-in the new one; you can’t even plug it in the wrong way. The ballasts, along with everything else but the bulbs and the body, carry a two-year warranty; if one goes bad, we send you a replacement. Also, in the rare event that the timer stops working, replacing it is also a do-it-yourself task - it just plugs in as well!

You simply call our toll-free number, and we do what it takes to make sure that your Peacock is working when you want to use it. You don’t have to rely on service technicians to show up late and tell you that they will ‘order the part’; the Peacock virtually eliminates the need for expensive, onsite service calls. The lighting panels of the Peacock™ WrapAround® Tanning System actually wrap completely around your entire body closely, whatever your size. Bringing the bulbs close to the body provides uniform tanning coverage and creates a better, faster, more beautiful looking tan.
SIDE STRIPE SYNDROME Tanning beds lack uniform light distribution.With tanning beds, the tanning rays are concentrated on the back of the user, leaving the front, and especially the sides, less exposed. We refer to this as the “Side Stripe Syndrome”.
PRESSURE POINTS When you lie down on a hard, plastic surface, as in a tanning bed, the areas under the hips, shoulder-blades and back are under pressure. This reduces the blood flow to those areas, which prevents normal tanning and causes unsightly ‘white spots’, which results in an artificial looking tan.
For every inch between the body and the bulbs, there’s a large drop in the UVA light intensity. The WrapAround® design brings the tanning rays into optimal range for all parts of the body, resulting in an even, full-body, natural looking tan.
